If I’m not in the city of Toronto, can I apply?
Does the Foundation make arts grants outside of Ontario?
The Strategic Initiatives program is limited to Toronto only. The Professional Development grants are province-wide. The Foundation does not make arts grants outside Ontario.
Does the Foundation make grants in the visual arts, writing, museums, or film and video fields?
No, the program is limited to the live performing arts.
We are incorporated as a non-profit. Can we apply?
Can an individual apply for an internship?
The Foundation can only fund organizations which have received charitable status from Revenue Canada. Individuals can approach organizations to seek out internship placements, but the organization must apply.
Can we apply to both SI and PD program streams at the same time?
Yes. You would be making completely separate applications.
Can we apply for more than one intern at the same time?
Yes, but it is a competitive program. The Foundation will assess each internship on its own merits.
