How We Learn
The Metcalf Foundation wants to know if it is making the difference it hopes for – and if not, what it can do to realize the full potential of its commitment and resources. Like many Foundations, we face challenges trying to assess our work. Despite these challenges - and, perhaps, because of these challenges – we are very interested in evaluation.
At the Metcalf Foundation, evaluation is a learning action: it’s how we learn from what we do. What we learn through evaluation helps us to improve the design and implementation of programs, and informs our decision-making.
