2004 Director Initiated Grants Awarded
Directors of the Foundation are each able to direct a specified amount annually to registered charities of their choosing. In 2004 the following grants were approved:
Earthroots Toronto, Ontario – $10,000
In support of their Wolves Ontario! project
Meaford Hall, Municipality of Meaford Meaford, Ontario – $10,000
To aid in the refurbishment of the Meaford Town Hall
Orphan's Hope Toronto, Ontario – $100,000
To aid Canadian families in adopting children from orphanages abroad
Thickson's Woods Land Trust Toronto, Ontario – $10,000
In support of their Missing Link Meadow project
Western Canada Wilderness Committee Winnipeg, Manitoba – $10,000
In support of their wilderness saving work for 2005
York University Foundation Toronto, Ontario – $20,000
In support of the Writer in Exile bursary
